Deputy King His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince, reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to the march of progress and development for a brighter future.
He stressed the vital importance of security and stability and commitment to the pillars of national identity to meet people’s aspirations and optimize landmark achievement.
Deputy King HRH Prince Salman was speaking as he received at Riffa Palace the Director-General for the Middle East and North Africa at the German Foreign Affairs Ministry Boris Ruge.
He underscored Bahrain’s strides over past years to promote political, economic and social development, stressing the international acknowledgment of the efforts led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.
He stressed Bahrain’s clear and sincere approach in addressing the aftermath of last year’s deplorable events.
He cited particularly the establishment of the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI), reaffirming commitment to implement all its recommendations.
“This reflects Bahrain’s firm commitment to the international legal and humanitarian covenants,” he said, stressing HM King Hamad resolve to reveal the truth and overcome the aftermath of last year’s deplorable events for Bahrain to resume its march confidently.
Deputy King HRH Prince Salman stressed the necessity not to allow any exploitation of legitimate demands to derail hard-won achievements.
He hailed good relations bonding the Bahrain and German, reiterating the Kingdom’s keenness on promoting cooperation further-thus building on forty years of ever-growing bilateral ties.
The Director-General for the Middle East and North Africa at the German Foreign Affairs Ministry Boris Ruge commended the level of cooperation, lauding Bahrain’s development strides.
Crown Prince’s Court Advisor for Political and Economic Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al-Khalifa and German Ambassador Sabine Taufmann attended.
