The Kingdom of Bahrain reaffirmed the vitality of the Non-Alignment Movement (NAM) solidarity and unity in forging a peaceful and secure world, rejected resort to force in dispute settlement and destabilization of regional security and stability.
The Kingdom called to a world order that is more democratic, just, and secure to enable NAM supports and enhances economic and social development, promotes human rights, and rule of law in NAM Member States.
The Kingdom reiterated the necessity of adherence to the principles of NAM, particularly in light of the new challenges, events, and transitions in the international arena.
This came as Bahrain’s delegation headed by Ambassador Karim Ebrahim Al-Shakar, Undersecretary of International Affairs, has participated at the ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) convened at the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.
Regarding the Palestinian issue, Undersecretary of International Affairs reaffirmed Bahrain’s stance in sporting the brotherly Palestinians legitimate demand in establishing their independent sovereign viable State within June 1967 territories and Al Quds as its capital.
He urged all NAM member States to continue backing Palestinian’s bid of recognition as full Member State to UN and other international organizations to enable the Palestinian people to restore their historical and inalienable rights to live in peace as the rest of the people all over the world.
Undersecretary of International Affairs underscored Bahrain’s commitment to back the NAM efforts of disarmament and creation of a world free of Weapons of Mass Destruction.
