Mumtalakat Holdings Company (BSC) confirmed its strategic sponsorship of the 1st All-GCC Future Entrepreneurship Forum, set to be hosted in the Kingdom of Bahrain, organized by the Bahrain Development Bank (BDB) on 30-31 May 2012.
Under the patronage of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister the Forum will be supported by the GCC Ministerial Committee for Planning and Development, as well as the Ministry of Finance in Bahrain.
The Forum seeks to promote the culture of initiatives, and support small- and medium-scale, enterprises to achieve future economic growth in the region. The forum also aims to promote an appropriate environment and to encourage and reward private sector initiatives through, legislation, training, financing and development.
Mumtalakat Holding’s CEO Mahmoud Al Kooheji said that building a strong culture of entrepreneurship will definitely contribute effectively in achieving tremendous benefits for the regional economy. This creates more job opportunities for GCC citizens, attracts foreign investments, and promotes trade. In addition to that, this culture enables entrepreneurs to take advantage of their capacities, and culminates noticeable outcomes for the society.
Al-Kooheji added that medium- and small-scale businesses are the backbone of our national economy. And as the investment arm of Bahrain, Mumtalakat seeks to develop Bahrain resources for the upcoming generations.
Al-Kooheji also revealed that the forum provides strategic opportunities for GCC entrepreneurs in networking, exchanging of expertise and encourage new initiatives. The forum plays an important role in enhancing economic growth in the region.
