The First Deputy Chairman of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ibrahim Mohammed Ali Zainal met at Bait Al Tojar with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Al-Madar co., Al-Madar Abdullah, and the Turkish businessman, Turan Kiratli. The meeting was in presence of the member of the Board of Directors, Saqer Shaheen, the CEO of the Chamber, Ibrahim Al Lingawi, and a number of officials from the Chamber.
Ibrahim Zainal praised the interest of the Turkish Businessmen to strengthen the commercial and investment cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain, pointing out that the development of the political relationships should have a good reflect on the economic side. Meanwhile, Ibrahim Zainal highlighted the two visits of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the Crown Prince and Chairman of the EDB, His Royal highness, Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa to Turkey.
Ibrahim Zainal also pointed out that these visits of the leadership to Turkey has had positive results which serve the development and growth of the economic relations, and enhance the need to benefit from them through projects and commercial partnership between the private sectors in the two countries. He also said that the trade exchange between the two countries has highly increased during the past years reaching $250 million, compared to $100 million in 2007.
He said that Bahrain is the most suitable environment in the region, and it is considered the gateway to the Gulf markets, due to its geographical location, facilities to investors, as well as it is a distinctive financial center in the region and a center of Islamic banks, hoping to have Turkish Banks established in Bahrain during the next time.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Al-Madar stressed that Bahrain is stable and secure opposite to what the foreign media has announced, highlighting that the media want to disrupt conditions in Bahrain, pointing out the Turkish desire to have cooperation in the fields of construction and building with Bahraini Businessmen.
