Now motor riders in Bahrain can fill their car tanks by swiping the smart fuel card, thanks to Bapco which announced the launch of the new card called Sadeem.
The innovative smart fuel card was launched at a ceremony held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel and Spa and attended by the Minister of Energy Dr Abdulhussain Bin Ali Mirza and top management of Bapco and guests.
Later the Minister also opened Bapco Sadeem road show at Bahrain City Centre.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of the Minister of Energy and Chairman of National Oil and Gas Authority, Dr. Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza, Bapco has launched its new smart fuel card – Sadeem during a ceremony held Thursday morning at Ritz Carlton, in the presence of senior officials and key personnel. Also present at the ceremony were BAPCO’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Adel Almoayyed, the Chief Executive, Gordon Smith and members of the Board and the Executive Management of Bapco.
Dr. Mirza gave a welcome speech in which he hailed the dedicated efforts exerted by Bapco in providing its customers with most advanced services.
“Bapco being the largest and oldest company in Bahrain will continue to be the most innovative by introducing new products and services,” Dr Mirza added.
He lauded Bapco’s ongoing commitment in upgrading its services and operations to meet the needs and expectations of its customers. Bapco’s General Manager Marketing, Khalid Al-Sabbagh gave a speech in which he said that Sadeem was a personalized smart card for the payment of fuel in Bahrain’s service stations.
“Sadeem card provides a high level of security, a quicker and more convenient and secure method of payment for fuel”.
“Our customers can now monitor and budget fuel consumption in the simplest and easiest way possible”, he added.
“Benefits of the new card are being showcased at a stand held by Bapco for the public at City Centre Bahrain until May 09 where visitors can sign up for the pre-paid Sadeem cards.
