The delegations participating in the GCC Technical Telecommunications’ meeting stressed the need to continue holding coordinating meetings between the member states to discuss the mutual interactions between them on the cell-phone networks.
During the meeting which is held at the committee’s headquarters in Bahrain, it was reinforced the need to strengthen the joint cooperation for the GCC member states common interests, particularly the issues concerned with telecommunications, and the optimum utilization of the spectrum bandwidth in the GCC Countries.
The CEO of the Spectrum Administration and International Affairs at UAE Telecommunications Organization Authority, the President of the Committee for Telecommunications, Tariq Al-Awadi said that the GCC Technical Committee will refer the results and its recommendations to be presented to the GCC concerned ministerial committee’ s meeting to be adopted, circulated and applied between the GCC countries.
At the end of their meeting, the members of the Technical Committee for Telecommunications thanked and appreciated the Kings, Presidents, and leaders of the GCC Countries for their great support of the telecommunications sector.
The members thanked and appreciated the efforts of the Director General of the Technical Office for Telecommunications at the GCC Secretariat and all its affiliates, and the Central Informatics Organization’s affiliates.
The members also thanked the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority for their warm welcome, great hospitality, preparation and distinctive organization of the meeting.
