His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Women, and HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, attended the Diamond Jubilee celebration for Her Majesty Queen of the United Kingdom, Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Queen Elizabeth II ‘s accession to the throne, at Windsor Castle in the British Capital, London, in the presence of senior members of the British royal family led by Duke of Edinburgh His Royal Highness Prince Philip and heir to the throne Prince Charles.
The celebration was also attended by countries’ leaders, Monarchs, representatives, key political and economic figures and senior officials.
On behalf of the people of Bahrain, HM the King congratulated Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion, expressing appreciation of her efforts and keen interest to boost historical bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation based on mutual respect, communication and coordination. HM King also affirmed Bahrain’s keen interest to further strengthen these ties in all fields for the best interest of both countries and people.
HM the King also lauded Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s leading role in establishing excellent relations between the UK the rest of the world as well as her constructive and fruitful contributions to preserving international peace and security.
HM wished her continuous good health and happiness, more growth and development to the British people and further progress to the Bahraini-British relations.
