Bahrain’s top five football coaches will judge the first stage of the VIVA Manchester United Soccer Schools auditions which will kick-off on Monday 4 and 5 June 2012 at the Bahrain Football Association’s training pitches in Isa Town.
With extensive years of playing and coaching experience in Bahrain, the judges, all former players will be evaluating football skills of the players, their strengths and ability of each of the prospective footballers while scouting for some new talent.
The judging panel team for first stage of try-outs led by Hamad Mohammed, Coach for National under 14 team will also include Hasan Al-Ghazel, Coach for Isa Town Club for under 15 team; Ismael Karami, Coach for Manama Club under 15 team; Jamal Al Qaed, Assistant coach for National under 14 team and Bader Khalil Ebrahim, coach for Riffa Club under 15 team.
The football auditions are the second phase of the VIVA Manchester United Soccer Schools programme which attracted participation from almost six hundred footballers across the island. The eligible participants will be competing in seven-a-side matches while the judges will look out for best performers on the field with exceptional technical football skills.
Few tips for hundreds of Bahrain’s young footballers who have signed up for this unique football experience to travel to the UK and train at one of the best residential training camps in the world at Myerscough College.
“Be confident. Focus on the skills you have to offer and demonstrate them to the best of your ability,” Bahraini football veteran, Hamad Mohammed, said.
All the judges are looking forward to seeing Bahrain’s best football talent on display this week. With young footballers signed up from as young as 12-years-of-age through to 15 years-of-age, the competition for 120 places to secure a spot in the final selection weekend (8-9 June 2012) will be fierce.
