Bahrain-based Ahli United Bank (AUB) and Network International (NI) have signed an agreement to launch state of the art POS acquiring and e-commerce services.
The agreement was signed by Abdulla Al Raeesi, Deputy Group CEO Retail Banking, Ahli United Bank and Ram Chari, Chief Executive Officer of Network International, at a ceremony held at the Bank’s headquarters in Seef, Bahrain.
“The Network International platform which supports advanced acquiring functionality will enable Ahli United Bank to meet its objectives of providing enhanced merchant solutions in Bahrain and its subsequent extension to cover other key AUB markets, with innovative features such as integrated multi-lane solutions, hotel solutions, new e-commerce services, dynamic currency conversion and loyalty programs to address the specific needs of all business sectors,” Abdulla Al Raeesi, said.

Al Raeesi also highlighted that this partnership will further reinforce AUB’s ability to meet the growing needs of clients in the Bahrain in all lines of business with value added product offerings and enable the bank to further support the national objectives of increasing the quantum of e-payments, e-services and cashless payments in a variety of sectors, with the overall objective of improving efficiency levels through new technology platforms.
Ram Chari reiterated Network International’s commitment to a longstanding partnership with Ahli United Bank and further broadening of this partnership in the years ahead in respect to both geographic coverage and range of service offerings.
