Minister of Labour, Jameel Bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain was able to lay the basic factors and effective mechanisms to combat unemployment through a sustainable scientific approach which ensured keeping it under control either in present or future.
During his visit to the Majles of the MP Mohammed Ismael Al Amadi, in presence of the citizens of the sixth constituency at Hamad Town, and a number of senior officials from the ministry, the Minister said that the Ministry was proceeding in reviewing all the programmes, projects and initiatives it was implementing.
He also stressed that the Ministry was working on developing those programmes and projects and creating more of them to strengthen the stability of the Labor Market, and ensure creating suitable work opportunities with decent salaries.
The Minister of Labour pointed out that the Ministry did not accept signing a contract with pay less than BD250 a month to BD 400 per month for a minimum of a university degree, highlighting that there were many work opportunities offered by the private sector with suitable salaries.
The Minister of Labour stressed the need to have community partnership to enhance the success of the programmes and projects of the Ministry, considering those direct meetings with the citizens and the fruitful cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities would enrich ideas and views. He also said that those meeting enabled the decision-makers at the Ministry to take appropriate actions and decisions that were in favor of the citizens.
The MP Al Amadi hailed the positive communication of the Ministry with the representatives either through the Council or through the mutual visits between the two sides. He also valued the role of the Minister of Labour in strengthening the community partnership with the Council of Representatives concerning the services provided by the Ministry of Labour.
