The ICT committee of the Federation of Arab Engineers (FAE) and the Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE) will organize for the 2nd Arab ICT 2012 Forum.
Under the of patronage of Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Amer , TRA Chairman and CICS President, the Forum will be held on October 1st and 2nd 2012.
Arab ICT 2012 Forum is an exciting two days event that seeks to establish an enduring interaction and cooperation between the local and regional ICT leaders and professionals and to engage in discussions related to the latest global development in the ICT sector that is affecting policy makers and stakeholders and hence make it a powerful opportunity for learning.
The forum will cover a variety of topics including :Global trends in the development of ICT services and applications, Challenges facing the Telecommunication industry and operators, latest developments of New technologies in the Arab Region, challenges opportunities of Cloud Computing and virtualization, latest Trends and Practices using ICT to deliver e-Government Services, Public and Private investment initiatives for ICT Development, role of ICT in the Development of Education, Training and Scientific Research , contribution of the ITU in the development of ICT in the Arab Region, role of Information and Communications Technology to reduce the effects of natural and humanitarian disasters and the application of Green Technology in ICT hardware.
So far 20 speakers who are ICT experts and represent telecommunication operators, ICT suppliers, major local companies, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), well known IT and Software companies have been selected to address these topics and the final list together with the forum program will be available by the end of July.
Also in collaboration with the Institution of Engineers (India)-Bahrain Chapter and the Indian Embassy, the Arab ICT 2012 Forum organizing committee is hoping to invite Dr Sam Pitrdo who is an internationally accepted telecommunication expert and a visionary as a keynote speaker.
The programme includes a daily interactive discussion with a panel of experts who bring all of the insights, experience and expertise to Arab ICT 2012 Forum.

It is worth noting that the first forum was held in Bahrain in November, 2010 and has attracted a significant number of ICT professionals from the public and private sectors in Bahrain representing Technical , Business , Audit , Information Security , Policy , Regulation , Customer Services , Consultation, Strategic Business Development, Sales and Marketing areas of their organizations.
