Government treasury bills fetch BD930m

The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announced that this quarter’s BD100 million issues of Government Treasury Bills, No.13 (ISIN BH0004258453), have been oversubscribed by 193 per cent. With this, the total outstanding value of Government Treasury Bills is BD930 million.

The bills, carrying a maturity of 12 months, are issued by the CBB, on behalf of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The issue date of the bills is 07 June 2012 and the maturity date is 06 June 2013.

The weighted average rate of interest is 1.69% compare with 1.74%, for the previous issue on 08 March 2012.

The approximate average price for the issue was 98.321% with the lowest accepted price being 98.310%.
