Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) and University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for mutual cooperation.
UAB representatives expressed hope that this MoU will be a start of a very fruitful cooperation between the two institutions. The purpose of this MoU is to initiate academic cooperation between these two universities and both will identify the mutual interests in academic programs and research activities.
The cooperation is expected to start with the Executive Masters in Health Education program. This will later be extended for the mutual cooperation in Applied Health as well.
“It is an endeavor to encourage the students and staffs to spend some time in the host institution besides develop student exchange programs,” said PMU Rector after signing this MoU.
It is a beginning of the journey and these universities focus on multiple plans—from conducting cultural projects, study tours, providing study abroad opportunities to students at the undergraduate and graduate levels are best articulation opportunities,” a joint statement said.
PMU’s Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Nassar M. Shaikh and Vice Rector for Business Affairs and Development, Dr. Adel Al-Saleh alongside their team welcomed UAB guest in the university campus.
