Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, has signed an agreement with CJSC CHL International, a subsidiary of CHL Limited, an Indian-based company, to open a Sheraton Hotel in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Scheduled to open in early 2013, the Sheraton Dushanbe Hotel marks the entrance of Starwood in the country. The opening of this hotel is part of the company’s global strategic expansion plan that includes adding more than 60 new hotels to the Sheraton portfolio over the next three years.

Dushanbe is the capital and largest city of Tajikistan, a mountainous country in Central Asia bordering with Afghanistan to the south, Uzbekistan to the West, Kyrgyzstan to the North, and China to the East.
