Director-General of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science said that the Bahraini citizen Ahmed Abdulrahman Shehab Ahmed Shehab was included in the list of international terrorists by the US Department of State over charges of joining a terrorist group outside the kingdom for the aim of committing hostile acts against a foreign country.
He also said that the same citizen was tried in absentia in 2009 by the first High Criminal Court in Bahrain and received a five-year prison sentence, adding that the Secretariat-General of the Arab Interior Ministers’ Council, Arab Criminal Police Bureau and the Interpol were notified of the court verdict ever since it was issued.
