Wife of HM the King, and Supreme Council for Women’s President, HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa has inaugurated Tylos Show under the slogan ‘A Trip beyond a Lifetime’ being hosted by the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg in the Russian Republic in the presence of Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Professor Michael Petrovsky, the Director-General of State Hermitage Museum, a large number of VIPs and experts interested in world heritage and museums, and members of the World Heritage Commission.
HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa praised the good organizing of the show which reflects the genuineness and high quality of Bahraini heritage, the historic significance of ancient and modern civilization in the Kingdom of Bahrain and lauded the efforts being exerted by the Culture Minister in order to promote the bright image of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its culture locally and abroad which culminated in consecrating the Kingdom of Bahrain as the Capital of Arab Culture.
HRH also affirmed the need to support all cultural activities abroad in order to help portray the Kingdom of Bahrain’s best and brightest image abroad, citing the registering of the Pearls Trail in the list of world human heritage, recommending at the same time the need to boost heritage tourism in Bahrain in order to boost our national economy .
Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa expressed her utmost gratitude and appreciation to HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa for inaugurating this show and praised the role of Her Royal Highness in supporting arts and culture in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Professor Michael Petrovsky, the Director-General of State Hermitage Museum emphasized that the Tylos Show being hosted by the Hermitage is one of the most excellent shows and expressed pride in hosting the Bahraini show and praised the role of Bahraini exhibiters led by the Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa in terms of quality organization and good communicability.
The Culture Minister Shaikh Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa had earlier held a press conference in the Hermitage Museum attended by a large number of journalists, TV crews, foreign diplomats accredited in the friendly Federal Republic of Russia. During the press conference, the Minister elaborated on the significance of the Tylos dynasty era and praised Russian interest in this show which reflects the importance of ancient civilizations of Bahrain throughout the ages.
