The eGovernment Authority (eGA) organized an introductory meeting that gathered all public relations and marketing directors of various governmental entities to pinpoint the new strategic objectives and discuss ways of cooperation in the media and marketing fields.
The meeting was a part of rolling-out the new eGovernment National Strategy 2016 and aiming to achieve its core objectives towards a higher-performing, collaborative and an integrated Government.
The eGovernment Authority’s Marketing and Awareness Directorate Assistant Director Mohammed Ziad Asfour welcomed the attendees and valued their response in implementing the new eGovernment strategy which was announced during the opening ceremony of this year’s Bahrain International eGovernment Forum by Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology (SCICT).
“The new eGovernment Strategy is oriented to adopt customer engagement and eParticipation of stakeholders; this requires enhanced communication and improved collaboration with various stakeholders,” Asfour, said, emphasizing on the role and efforts of media and marketing in governmental entities by triggering innovation and effective public participation, and to inspire the use of eServices.
Asfour presented the key strategic objectives and KPIs to be achieved as he shed lights on the main eGovernment projects that are projected within the coming period as well as the role of the stakeholders to put the strategy into action. Furthermore, he confirmed the importance of forming supporting groups from various governmental entities in order to execute the strategy based on the plan that is purposefully set for each entity.
The Directors praised the eGovernment Authority efforts in developing its services provided to the country’s citizens and residence; as well as its keenness in enhancing the governmental cooperation to improve the ICT field in Bahrain.
