Energy Minister Dr Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, who held talks in the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) premises with the Muharraq’s 7th Constituency representative and MP Othman Mohammed Sharif, said that EWA has been working on optimising the power supply across the country.
The Minister reviewed with MP Sharif the keenness on the part of both the EWA and the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) on providing services to Bahraini citizens and residents all over the Kingdom, and confirmed the need to intensify similar meetings in order to inform all government officials regarding the needs of citizens, and explained to him the EWA plans in boosting electricity and water distribution plants especially the Authority’s jobs implemented in the 7th Constituency in Muharraq Governorate.
The Minister pointed out that the EWA has laid down its action plans and set goals in order to provide electricity and water services of highest quality, performance in line with fast development and huge projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain and in compliance with the directives and to meet the aspirations of HM the King, HRH the Prime Minister and HRH the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, and reiterated that government ministries and institutions continue to provide services to all citizens everywhere in order to maintain the pace of sustainable development in the Kingdom.
MP Othman Sharif posed questions regarding various matters pertaining to boosting electricity and water in the 7th Constituency as well as oil and gas projects and expressed his utmost gratitude and appreciation to EWA officials led by Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza and praised the quality of services provided by both the EWA and the NOGA and persistent efforts being exerted by employees of both authorities aimed at providing optimum services to citizens.
The meeting was attended by the CEO of EWA Shaikh Nawaf bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, and the EWA Deputy CEO for Distribution and Customer Service engineer Adnan Mohammed Fakhro as well as a number of EWA officials.
