His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa on Sunday received senior officials, Shura Council and parliament members directed the ministers and Government entities to serve citizens as a national duty.
He affirmed that the priority for ministers heading service ministries is to show full responsibility toward following up and identifying shortfalls in any service.
This, HRH said, should be through continued follow-up, field visits and interacting with citizens, listening to their needs, comments and observations.
HRH the Premier stressed that service ministries are duty bound to follow-up and respond to citizens’ complaints and resolve their problems.
He highlighted that ministries should provide explanations to any issue or comment that is raised in the media with regard to shortfalls or deficiency in the service provided by such ministries. He pointed out the need for ministries to deal positively with the media and highlight the efforts exerted by the government in the various fields so that citizens are fully aware of them.
HRH the Premier lauded the role of Bahraini women in the development process including economic development, praising in this regard the role played by businesswomen in development efforts.
