Information Affairs Authority (IAA) President Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa lauded the efforts of the GCC youth who are taking part in preparing and presenting “Himalaya” TV programme which will be broadcast daily in 20 episodes on Bahrain TV channel during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The IAA President praised the programme’s constructive ideas aimed at bolstering the spirit of cooperation, brotherhood, equality and citizenship among the GCC nationals.
He was speaking as he received the programme’s administrative and technical crew, in the presence of the private Bahraini producing company Director.
He hailed partnership and coordination with the private sector’s companies in producing radio and television programmes, commending the noble message of “Himalaya” in embodying the sentiments of love, patriotism and joint aspirations for the GCC union through a trip to the Himalaya mountains made by 14 GCC youngsters (six Bahrainis, three Qataris, two Emiratis, One Saudi, one Kuwaiti and one Omani).
The IAA President said the GCC youth have set an example to emulate of strong will, joint determination and the ability to defy during their 10-day hard trip to the Himalaya Mountains summit where they could fix a plaque with their signatures and lift the flags of the six GCC countries as well as the GCC banner
