The Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry has reassured local consumers regarding a consignment of livestock imported into the Kingdom of Bahrain which had aroused suspicions of being infected affirming that upon exhaustive pre-, and post-slaughtering veterinary examination and follow-up of the livestock consignment sold to breeders, and confirmed that it has been established to be safe and sound and fit for human consumption.
The Ministry said that requisite examination was implemented by highly-qualified long-career serving and experienced veterinarians who follow very strict procedures in compliance with international standards and recommendations in order to preserve the health of Bahraini citizens and to conserve the Kingdom of Bahrain’s animal wealth.
