The number of vehicles that crossed the causeway to and from Bahrain in 2011 reached 6.23million while the number of passengers totaled 14.35 million, according to the official report.
Governor of the Saudi East Region HRH Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz received in his office today the Director-General of the General Organisation for the King Fahd Causeway Badr bin Abdulla Al-Atishan who submitted to him a report on the King Fahd Causeway for the year 2011.
The Governor lauded the keen interest of the Saudi government, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince HRH Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in Saudi Arabia’s eastern exits through providing quality comprehensive services for users of the causeway, calling for the need to enhance those services further.
Al-Ataishan expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Prince Mohammed bin Fahd for his directives aiming to ensure that services that appeal to passengers are provided.
