Pakistan Club’s Zain Ramadan Kareem 7-A side cricket tournament kicked off with a soft opening of the sporting festival at a ceremony attended by the Ambassador of Pakistan Jauhar Saleem and the major sponsors of the event and board members of the Club.
“As per the schedule the formal competition will start on 1st of Ramadan Kareem night with an opening ceremony at the club premises in Manama,” according to statement issued by the Club.
Chairman Iftikhar Ahmed Lone highlighting the salient features of the event said the final match would be played on 28th of Ramadan with winning team taking of cash prize of $700 for senior, under 18 winner prize is $500 and under 15 winner prize is $400 with trophies.
The soft opening ceremony was also attended by the main sponsors including Zain special project marketing manager Rukesh Sharda and BFC general manager Errol Fonsica with large number of the Pakistan community and club board members, representatives of participating organizations and cricket lovers. This year, 60 teams have been divided into senior, under-18 and under-15 categories. All the matches will be played at night after evening prayers.
“Pakistan Club is passionately organizing the tournament like previous years,” club’s Sports Secretary Makhdoom Ahmed, said.
