The official panel in charge of confirming the sighting of the holy month of Ramadan’s new moon will hold its meetings in the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs’ auditorium on Thursday evening, Sha’ban 29, 1433H, July 19, 2012 to confirm the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
The panel will receive fair witnesses’ testimonies regarding the sighting of the crescent moon of Ramadan, 1433H, the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs announced in a statement it has issued on Tuesday.
The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs invited all Muslims who would like to make a testimony and to report their sighting of Ramadan’s new crescent to proceed to the panel and to give their testimony or report such confirmed news from anywhere in the world.
The council submitted its best wishes and felicitations on this blessed occasion to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister , HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, the Royal family, the Bahraini people and Muslims all over the world.
HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, has issued a circular regarding official working hours during the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1433H.
The circular stipulated that “throughout the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1433H, official working hours in the government ministries, authorities and organizations should be from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm.”
