As part of the on-going preparations for the FIA World Endurance Championships 2012 that will take place at Euston Park near Thetford in the UK on August 25, Captain of the Royal Endurance Team Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa led Bahrain riders to a stunning victory at the 120km Endurance Horse Ride at Compiegne, in France, in which key European riders competed.
During the five-phase race, Shaikh Nasser secured first place with 05:13:48, rider Raed Mahmoud was second with 05:13:49 and rider Mohammed Abdul Samad was third with 06:26:55.
Shaikh Nasser expressed satisfaction at the outstanding results achieved during the preparations for the world championship, adding that the training programme will continue in Bahrain and Hungary in order to be able to attain the aspired goals.
