Standard Chartered staff spent their time volunteering to do gardening and tree planting at the Saudi Bahrain Institute for the Blind. More than 100 staff including the senior management of the Bank volunteered to help care for the environment while further beautify the institute. The volunteered staff felt fulfilled as they spent time giving back to the community.
“Volunteering allows employees to make a unique contribution to the local causes that they support. This helps us as an organisation to forge stronger relationships with our communities and demonstrate our positive intentions as a brand. We are continuously looking out for volunteering opportunities which come in line with the causes that the Bank supports. This increase in volunteering days comes in line with the Bank’s global aspirations reflected by its brand promise, Here for good,” Hassan Jarrar, Chief Executive Office Standard Chartered Bank Bahrain said.
