A group of unidentified attackers have torched a residence of a police officer in Bahrain as part of series of illegal protests, attacks on public and private properties aimed at creating panic and insecurity in the society.
The General Director of Central Governorate Police confirmed that a group of thugs attacked the house of an Interior Ministry’s officer in East Ekar, which resulted in a fire in the ground floor where a room was fully gutted.
“The attack wasn’t the first of its kind as the house was targeted before,” he also said.
The civil defence team rushed to the scene and put out the fire, adding that no injuries were reported as the residents weren’t at the house when the attack took place.
He also affirmed that investigation was still underway to arrest the perpetrators and bring them to justice, stressing that such acts would be firmly addressed.
