Acuma Independent Financial Advice announced a series of PGA “Patrons’ Challenge” matches to be contested at 18 golf clubs in the region. This series celebrates Acuma’s long-standing patronage of the UAE Professional Golfers Association and marks the addition of IP Global and Skandia International as Co-Patrons.
Upcoming matches are already in the diary during the second half of August at Sharjah, Al Ain, Dubai Creek and Al Hamra Golf Clubs. The matches will run until the end of September with a presentation evening scheduled towards the end of the year to honour the worthy victors.
“We’ve played two matches so far, at Abu Dhabi National and Al Badia Golf Clubs. Sadly for the Patrons, the PGA Pros have comfortably taken the spoils at both clubs, but the hospitality shown by the Pros and the level of banter throughout illustrates exactly why all the Patrons are so proud to be involved and are looking forward to many more years working together,” Neil Stewart, Senior Financial Planner at Acuma, said.
Greg Holmes, CEO of the UAE PGA, is equally impressed with the partnership.
“Now in its second year, the Patrons’ Challenge has undoubtedly become extremely popular with both the UAE Professionals and our Patrons. Our main aim within the UAE PGA is to increase the number of networking opportunities with Acuma, IP Global and Skandia and encourage the type of camaraderie on the golf course which has been evident over the last year,” he said.
Acuma and the PGA wish the competitors in this year’s Patrons’ Challenge the best of luck. Greg Holmes adds, ‘On behalf of all the UAE PGA Professionals we would like to thank our Patron, Acuma, for all its support over the years and we look forward to working together in the 2012-2013 season”.
