The Kingdom of Bahrain’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, participated in a meeting held by the foreign ministers of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) members countries this morning in Tehran in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The NAM foreign ministers endorsed the final “Tehran Document” which comprises regional and international political, development, socio-economic and human rights issues.
The document reflects the proposals endorsed during senior officials meeting held in the period 26-27 August 2012 aimed at boosting its role in tackling current challenges and hazards pertaining to security and stability and to assume its role for the sake of building a new international order that ensures the best interest of the peoples and their aspirations towards cultural and civilization interaction and the deepening of humanitarian values and concepts.
The “Tehran Document” is expected to be submitted to the 16h NAM Summit Conference due to be convened in the period 30-31 August 2012 for final ratification thereof.
