His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said that Bahraini-US relations have reached a solid level, explaining that the presence of the 5th fleet in the kingdom has strengthened bilateral cooperation further.
HRH Premier also stressed that the two countries have succeeded in enhancing joint cooperation in the economic, political and military fields, adding that “All sides are looking forward to making the region more stable and secure and distanced from troubles and tensions, which requires harnessing all capabilities and efforts in order to promote peace, security and stability and face the challenges and threats through a more effective coordination between friendly and allied nations.”
The Premier also emphasized the need to come up with common stances vis-à-vis all issues so as to be able solve them more easily, affirming that peoples of the region are in dire need for peace, security and development.
This came as HRH Premier received at his court the Commander of the US Naval Forces Central Command and US 5th Fleet Vice Admiral John Miller, in the presence of the US Ambassador to Bahrain Thomas Krajeski.
During the meeting, HRH Premier hailed the historical and strategic Bahraini-US ties, praising the steady growth of fruitful cooperation in all fields, particularly those related to regional security and stability.
Vice-Admiral John Miller lauded the friendly Bahraini-US relations and their constructive cooperation in all sectors.
He also praised the facilities provided by the government, led by HRH Premier, commending the on-going coordination between the 5th Fleet and the concerned sides in the kingdom, which, he said, emanates from the two countries’ shared visions regarding security and stability.
