Bahraini woman is an exceptional case due to the nature of the Bahraini society which has always backed her participation in its building whether as a mother or an equal partner of men in the national development process, Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), said.
In her interview published by the Oxford Business Group Bahrain’s First Lady added that SCW, after eleven years of its inception, aspires to boost its role as a consultative institution in all matters that regard Bahraini women’s affairs.
HRH also pointed out the efforts needed to fully implement the Family Law in Bahrain, stressing that SCW is keen to ensure the highest level of family stability in Bahrain.
She also lauded the national efforts to establish a balance between the educational output in Bahrain and the needs of the labour market so as to cut down the unemployment rates among women and men.
