The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) is pleased to announce to the public the offering of uncut sheets of BD1 and BD 1/2 banknotes for sale. These banknotes are the fourth issue of Bahraini dinars which was initially issued on 17 March 2008 and is still in circulation.
Three hundred sheets will be offered for each denomination with each sheet containing 40 banknotes carry consecutive serial numbers. The price for the BD1 sheet will be BD50/- and BD 1/2 sheet BD25/-.
The sale will start on Monday, 27 August 2012 at the Central Bank of Bahrain Currency Issue Directorate, Diplomatic Area from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm.
Farid Jassim Zubari, Director of Currency Issue Directorate at Central Bank of Bahrain, said that this would be the second time that the CBB was selling this kind of uncut sheets of banknotes. In May 2005 the CBB had put up for sale uncut sheets of the third issue, which proved to be hugely successful with money collectors and with people interested in the currency of Bahrain.
