Deputy Prime Minister meets Al Wefaq Society

Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister, met with members of Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society upon their request and in an effort to encourage all parties to engage in dialogue in order to allow the nation to progress. His Highness welcomed the meeting for the good of the country and stressed the necessity of inclusiveness for political development and genuine progress.

The DPM commended the role played by the Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs and Endowments in encouraging understanding between Bahrain’s political societies in order to reach common ground for the good of the country.

He reaffirmed that any move towards political progress will only be possible if it includes everyone within a framework of transparency through constitutional institutions, while emphasizing the principle of consensus and openness to others.
