HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister conducted a follow-up visit to the local market in Isa Down aimed to ensure its speedy reconstruction in the aftermath of the fire incident which had recently gutted the Isa Town local market.
HRH the Prime Minister, accompanied by the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Dr. Jum’a bin Ahmed Al-Ka’bi, viewed the phase of work done in terms of counting damages resultant from the fire incident and listened to explanations from the relevant authorities in charge of reconstruction work in terms of providing an alternative location for traders to carry out their business as usual until when the market has been completely reconstructed in compliance with highest standards of security and safety applicable in commercial markets.
HRH the Prime Minister met with the market traders and shop owners, listened to them and assured them that the market will be reconstructed within record time in order for them to be able to resume business as usual and promsied immediate compensation to traders who had lost their main source of livelihood.
HRH the Prime Minister was also accompanied by the Governor of the Central Governorate, Mubarak bin Ahmed Al Fadhel, Isa Al-Qadi an MP and Adnan Al-Maliki also an MP as well as Central Municipality’s chairman Abdulrazzaque Abdullah Hattab and a number of officials.
On their part, the local market traders welcomed the visit of HRH the Prime Minister, praising his keenness on following up their needs emanating from the lofty, noble humanitarian feelings of HRH the Prime Minister and his constant stances which have assured everybody’s heart.
Traders also ascribed the sense of assuredness and confidence they have felt as a result of HRH the Prime Minister’s personal follow-up visits.
