HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, emphasized that the Extraordinary Islamic Summit meeting which begins on Tuesday in Holy city of Mecca in response the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abudlaziz Al Saud, comes as part of successive initiatives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in order to preserve unity of Arab and Islamic rank.
HRH also emphasized, in an interview with the Bahraini Arabic-speaking (Akhbar Al-Khaleej) daily newspaper, that the Islamic nations are nowadays besieged by hazards and there is imperative need to exit from the state of weakness and there is a need to restore Islamic solidarity in order to encounter challenges as the invitation for this summit confirms at an appropriate time in order to exhibit a serious and unified stance so as to face up anyone who seeks to tamper with the capabilities of the Arab and Islamic countries and their people’s blood. Whenever t he nation stands like an erect building, it will with divine providence be safer, more stable and prosperous.
HRH the Prime Minister described the summit as an epoch-making opportunity for bolstering Arab and Islamic efforts and procedding ahead in order to unify the ranks and to overcome all challenges especially in the face of menacing massacres, civil wars and the repercussions of immature political transformations. HRH the Prime Minister also described the summit as a test for regional security and an opportunity for collective thinking in order to solve issues within the Arab household.
HRH the Prime Minister hoped that this summit will come up with solutions that safeguard Arab and Islamic unity and territorial integrity and ward off the hazards of secessionism, civil wars and sectarian strife and cope with crisis.
HRH the Prime Minister expressed his optimism regarding the sure success of this summit, pointing out that the region is inundated by incidents and attempts of foreign intervention in local affairs which makes this summit of highly critical importance.
HRH the Prime Minister pledged the Kingdom of Bahrain’s support and assistance to any Arab and Islamic effort which contributes into further rapprochement and cohesiveness and pave the way for Arab unity and genuine Islamic cooperation.
