Shaikh Ahmed Bin Mohamed Al Khalifa Minister of Finance, Minister in Charge of Oil and Gas Affairs, Chairman of National Oil and Gas Authority visited Tatweer Petroleum on Tuesday. He was received by Dr. Edward J Hanley the Chief Executive, Adel Khalil Almoayyed Deputy Chief Executive and other members of the Executive Management.
The Minister was given a brief introduction about Tatweer’s operations, the production operations, field development projects, Health Safety and Environment achievements, the Bahrainization process in the company and future investment plans.
The Minister reviewed the progress that is being made on the Master Development Plan in accordance with the DPSA, which was signed in April 2009 between the shareholders’ namely Occidental, nogaholding and Mubadala.
Shaikh Ahmed was also briefed about the new projects that have been implemented to expand the oil and gas production capacity in addition to new enhanced oil project (EOR).
At the end of the tour the Minister thanked Bahrain leadership; His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, The Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, The Crown Prince and Deputy Commander of the BDF for their wise leadership and support to the oil and gas sector in Bahrain.
The Minister thanked the management and the staff of Tatweer for their tremendous efforts to revamp Bahrain Field and meet the increasing demand for oil and Gas in support to Bahrain’s economy.
