Minister of Housing, Bassim bin Yacoub Al-Hammer, said that the market value of lands added to closest residential plots of land free of charge as adjoining corners in 15 residential districts at a total cost of BD52 million and a total space of 400,000 square meters in compliance with the directives of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The Royal directives stipulated the free distribution of corners adjacent to citizens’ homes after the finalization of field studies in coordination with all the relevant authorities in order to develop residential areas, taking into consideration the provision of current and future requirements in terms of public lands for construction of roads networks, public parks, walkways, power stations, etc.
Adjoining corners in other than residential areas are saleable through the Ministry of Municipalities.
