Bahrain will celebrate Eid Al Fitr on Sunday as there was no evidence of moon sighting for Saturday.
Sunday will be the first day of Eid Al-Fitr in the Kingdom of Bahrain. In a statement issued today the Supreme Islamic Affairs Council announced that tomorrow (August 18) would be the 30th day of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The Moon-sighting Authority, which convened at headquarters of the Supreme Islamic Affairs Council, received no testimonies confirming the advent of Shawal Crescent.
The panel included Shaikh Ibrahim bin Abdullatif Al-Saad, Shaikh Adnan bin Abdulla Al-Qattan, Shaikh Rashid bin Hassan Al-bouainain and Dr. Ibrahim bin Rashid Al-Merrikhi.
The Supreme Islamic Affairs Council extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, Bahraini people and the Islamic World marking the advent of Eid Al-Fitr.
