Five Asians and an African accused of forging currency have been arrested, the deputy director general for combating corruption and economic and electronic security said.
The suspects were arrested red-handed following a tip-off that they were forging BD5 and BD10 currency notes at a welding worship in Salmabad and selling them for less money.
Police searched the workshop and confiscated the equipment used in forging the notes.
The five accomplices will appear before the Public Prosecution to face legal procedures.
