Bahrain’s Sovereign Fund Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), has appointed Tony Robinson as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Robinson, a Chartered Accountant, joined Mumtalakat in April 2011 as Investment Manager and Coordinator. His responsibilities included monitoring the financial data of the portfolio companies, supporting the finance department’s operations, along with supporting the investment team, and business development. Prior to joining Mumtalakat, Robinson held a project management position with RAC Insurance in Australia and spent 14 years at a leading investment bank in Bahrain, where he held the positions of Group Financial Controller, Chief Internal Auditor and Senior Manager of Financial Controls.
“I am pleased to appoint Tony Robinson as the Chief Financial Officer of Mumtalakat. Robinson’s wealth of experience at Mumtalakat and further afield makes him well placed to help continue Mumtalakat’s mission to grow the wealth of Bahrain; managing and enhancing the value of the Kingdom’s strategic commercial assets and entrenching high standards of corporate governance across its portfolio,” Mahmood Al Kooheji, Chief Executive Officer of Mumtalakat said.
Tony Robinson is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England, Wales, and Australia.
