Bahraini Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Shaikh Humood bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed the pivotal and effective role of Saudi Arabia at the regional, Arab and international levels.
He said that the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in calling for an extraordinary summit of Islamic nations that are members of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Mecca at the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan reflects the pivotal role assumed by Saudi Arabia to serve Islam and Muslims as well as the Arab and Islamic issues and rally ranks in this critical phase.
He pointed out that the Saudi clear stance in supporting the cause of the Syrian people is the best example of this trend.
He also affirmed that the Saudi relations with Bahrain and the GCC countries and its support to them are a model to emulate in credibility, brotherhood and solidarity.
He added in his article entitled “Between Salman bin Abdulaziz and Salman bin Hamad” that the recent visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, to Saudi Arabia and his discussions with Prince Salman bin Adulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defence Minister is of special importance due to the deep-rooted historic brotherly relations between both countries.
He asserted that the visit clearly reflects the strong ties binding both countries’ leaderships and peoples.
He also stressed keenness of the GCC countries and people on more rapprochements towards the GCC Union so as to boost regional stability, security and prosperity.
He said this trend will be the outcome of several influential factors, including mainly the political leaderships’ wisdom and farsightedness, people’s loyalty, strong relations as well as the regional situation and the need to preserve the major reform projects in it.
