Interior Minister Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Adullah Al Khalifa, accompanied by the Public Security Chief, paid a visit to the Special Security Force Command headquarters and the General Directorate of Traffic marking Eid Al-Fitr.
The Minister lauded the professionalism, training and dedication of the forces which said has had helped in thwarting plots in the past.
He met officers and non-commissioned officers as well as staff members of the two directorates and conveyed to them the congratulations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander.
The Interior Minister’s visit is in tribute to the security personnel’s diligent efforts in enforcing the law and maintaining order, it was revealed.
Lt. General Shaikh Rashid voiced the leadership’s appreciation of the security officers’ distinguished performance which is characterized by self-control and high morale, stressing that outstanding discipline of the security officers has foiled all plots targeting Bahrain’s police and stability.
“This discipline, steadfastness and responsibility are what guide us to the aspired stability. The hardships we encountered made us stronger and taught us lessons to face them,” he said.
“Resorting to unjustified violence threatens civic peace, security and stability,” he added urging all to shun those acts as maintaining security, he pointed out, is “a responsibility that should be shouldered by all Bahrainis who have always been known for their adherence to the principles of brotherhood, tolerance and unity.”
The Interior Minister also commended, during his visit to the General Directorate of Traffic, the efforts exerted round the clock to ensure safe traffic flow mainly on Eid Al-Fitr days and special occasions.
He praised the security officers’ enormous sacrifices and strenuous efforts to fulfill their duties and carry out the directives of the leadership, wishing them more success in serving the nation.
