Minister of Finance, Minister in Charge of Oil and Gas Affairs and Chairman of National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA), Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Khalifa visited the refinery on Tuesday. He was received by Bapco’s Chairman, Adel Khalil Al-Moayyed and members of the Board of Directors. Also present were Bapco’s Chief Executive Gordon Smith and members of the Management.
The visit was aimed at introducing Bapco’s officials to the Minister during the visit and Minister also attended presentations on Bapco’s activities. The Minister was also briefed about the Refinery’s Master Plan and its objectives in upgrading the Refinery’s operational performance in conformity with latest international standards. In another presentation on strategies of international marketing in Bapco, and listened to a third presentation on exploration programs and outlook and aspired goals in fostering the oil and gas sector. The Minister was also briefed on a presentation on audit processes in Bapco. Upon the conclusion of the visit, Adel Khalil Al-Moayyed expressed thanks and appreciation to the Minister on behalf of Bapco’s Board, Management and all employees, and underlined Bapco’s pride in Minister’s visit, lauding his valued support for Bapco’s role in fostering the national economy and bolstering the overall development and growth of the Kingdom.
