Tamkeen highlighted the need to submit applications and required documentation to benefit from its various support programmes through the authorised channels available to the public.
“Tamkeen’s programmes are available to all Bahrainis and private enterprises in the Kingdom. If the programme is still open and the criteria have been met, then the applications are likely to be approved,” Tamkeen’s Customer Engagement Senior Manager Yousif Ali, said.
Ali further noted that application to Tamkeen’s programmes is free-of-charge, with the exception of the fees charged by the partner banks in Tamkeen’s various financing programmes such as the Enterprise Financing Scheme and others.
Ali pointed out that the strict criteria and preventive measures that are in place are there to protect public funds from misuse.
“We receive comments every now and then about some of our programmes’ procedures and criteria which we do take into consideration as part of the post-launch evaluation process for each programme. However, these measures, which include multi-layered auditing processes and repeated field visits, are there to ensure that support is dispensed fairly and in accordance with the programmes’ stated objectives,” he said.
To date, Tamkeen has 180 support programmes designed to enable the development and productivity of enterprises and individuals in the private sector to increase their contribution to Bahrain’s economic development, in accordance with Vision 2030.
Currently, Tamkeen provides many channels to the public by which to apply depending on the programme of interest. The authorised channels include BDO for the Career Progression programmes and KPMG for the Enterprise Development Support Programmes and Enterprise Support Fund. Tamkeen’s training programmes are handled through its appointed partners and service providers.
Ali urged interested parties in benefiting from Tamkeen’s programmes to get in touch on 17383333 or support@tamkeen.bh.
