İstanbul Menkul Kıymetler Borsası (İMKB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bahrain Bourse (BHB) on the first day of the Istanbul Finance Summit. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by İMKB Chairman and CEO İbrahim M. Turhan and Bahrain Bourse Director Fouad Rashid, and envisages strengthening the relations between the two exchanges as well as offering new investment opportunities for the participants of both markets.
“İMKB attaches special importance to Gulf Cooperation Council countries and envisages that the region will play a key role in its future. We are therefore pleased to sign this MoU with Bahrain Bourse, one of the leading markets of the Gulf. I am confident that this MoU will pave the way for a stronger cooperation between the two exchanges in various areas of exchange business, including technology development, exchange of staff, and offering common products for the investors of both sides,” İMKB Chairman and CEO İbrahim M. TURHAN said.
“We are delighted to sign this MoU with İMKB as it solidifies the intentions of both bourses to cooperate together in various areas of mutual interest. The MoU also comes in line with BHB strategy to further develop our capital markets through collaboration with other leading bourses and sharing of knowledge, experience and practices,” Fouad Rashid, BHB Director, said.
“The MoU with İMKB is the beginning of a long and strong relation between BHB and İMKB”.
