Bahrain City Centre (BCC) has collected record number of donations this Ramadan, thanks to generous contributions of over 6,000 items from members of the community.
The third consecutive year of the ‘Make a Difference this Ramadan’ campaign resulted in over 3,000 bags of clothing, 400 non-perishable food items, 2,500 books, and 160 eyeglasses donated by shoppers and retailers. All donations were given to Al Noor Charity Welfare to support various local humanitarian causes.
“The entire community – from retailers to shoppers – embraced the charitable spirit of Ramadan this season, making a large impact for those less fortunate,” Duaij Khalifa Al Rumaihi, Senior Mall Manager for Bahrain City Centre, said.
“We are thrilled with the number of donations received and proud to be a continued supporter to community members in need. The mall gives special thanks to retailer outlets Jane Norman, Juicy Couture, Costa Coffee, Q Home, Tavola and Ehsan Optical for their participation.”
Throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan, Bahrain City Centre also had special lighting and décor, and hosted Lewan Ramadan featuring a calendar of themed arts and crafts and cultural entertainment for families to enjoy.
