Deputy Premier and Head of the High Committee for Information and Communication Technology Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa inaugurated the Housing Ministry’s Website, in the presence of Housing Minister Eng. Bassim bin Yaqoob Al hamar and officials from the Housing Ministry, the e-Government Authority and the Central Informatics and Communication Organisation (CICO).
Shaikh Mohammed asserted that the new website is the 52nd established by in ministries and state departments out of the government’s keen desire to carry on its strategy, launched in 2007 to improve and broaden the basis of e-services for the aim of upgrading the quality of services provided for the citizens and residents.
The Deputy Premier also indicated that the launch of the new website at the Housing Ministry will improve the quality of housing services provided for the citizens through saving their time and efforts.
He also affirmed that with the launch of the Housing Ministry’s website, the e-Government services will have covered most ministries and state departments, expressing pride in such an achievement which, he said, the kingdom is keen on developing it further so as consolidate its pioneering position in this regard.
Shaikh Mohammed also said that the top positions earned by the kingdom in the UN e-Government report is the direct result of the increase in the number of government websites, citing the comprehensive e-Government portal along with those of five main ministries included in the UN report.
He also paid tribute to the Minister Al Hamar and the affiliates of the Housing Ministry, e-Government Authority and CICO for the commendable efforts they had exerted to design the website.
The Housing Minister expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak for inaugurating the ministry’s website, adding that such a move will save the customers’ efforts and time and enable them to submit their demands electronically, book appointments and update their personal data.
