Diyar Al Muharraq, one of Bahrain’s biggest mixed-use residential urban developments, announced the promotion of present CEO, Aaref Hejres to the position of Managing Director and board member of Diyar Al Muharraq. The appointment of Dr. Maher Al Shaer as the new CEO of Diyar Al Muharraq was also announced at the same time.

My congratulations and good wishes to him in his new task,” the newly promoted Managing Director and board member, Aaref Hejres, said.
Dr. Al Shaer takes charge from Hejres, who has been the driving force of Diyar Al Muharraq for over a decade. Under his dynamic leadership the company has grown from strength to strength, becoming a recognized name globally for its unique master-plan and vision, its uncompromising commitment to schedules and quality and strong organizational and infrastructural foundations and CSR programs, while enjoying a deep public engagement and confidence. He will continue to hold a leadership role in the Diyar Al Muharraq story, lending his experience and expertise in his new capacity of Managing Director and Board Member.

Dr. Maher is the past President, and remains on the Board, of the Middle East Council of Shopping Centers. He is also an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
