Minister of Social Development Dr Fatima Al Balushi, who addressed a Press Conference at the ministry’s headquarters at the Bahrain Financial Harbour, said that the allocation of development funds to the Kingdom of Bahrain have further bolstered the existing brotherly ties among the GCC states.
The Minister also shed a light on the various development and social service programmes the ministry was undertaking in the country.
At the outset of the press conference Dr Al Balushi thanked the attendees for their participation affirming that media played a great role in communicating the truthful information for the public. The minister also extended her thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the King, His Royal Highness the Prime Minister and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince along with GCC leaders on their decision which is supportive of allocating financial funding towards development programmes in the Kingdom.
This decision Dr Al Balushi said was proof of the deep-rooted brotherly tie existing between GCC member countries. She also indicated that the ministry’s development and services projects were for the public to benefit from and the allocation of funds for them would benefit every individual in every Bahraini family. Dr Al Balushi stressed that the implementation of the various social services enjoyed by the citizens reflects the comprehensive development programme in all fields. This in turn she said achieved development of citizens that are the true wealth of the country a principle adopted by the wise leadership.
