His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, has honoured a new batch of graduates from the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Programmes (CPISP) and expressed pride at the hounourable results they have achieved, which proves that they are worthy of the support they have received in order to reach their aspirations reflecting the national goals.
“This is one of the happiest days each year since it is an opportunity to reap the fruit of the hard work and tremendous efforts exerted by those in charge of CPISP and the generous contributions of its sponsors who share our vision towards the programme and resolve to continue developing it in order to open up new horizons, out of their belief in the distinguished capabilities of the Bahraini citizens,” HRH Crown Prince said during the honouring ceremony held at Riffa Palace.
HRH Prince Salman affirmed that science and justice, which create hope and display the noblest values in societies, are indispensible, expressing keenness to promote CPISP as a platform to encourage more hard work and dedication in the service of the cherished nation.
He also said that CPISP graduates will have to harness their acquired skills and knowledge to serve their nation the Kingdom, which will enrich the kingdom’s landmark achievements.
He also took pride in CPISP students and graduates’ awareness of their responsibilities to take part in the efforts aiming to advance the kingdom and ensure it a more promising future, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
HRH Crown Prince also paid tribute to the graduates’ parents, praising their clear hallmarks in the outstanding performance of such an elite of Bahraini youths, which, he said, reflects the good and supportive environment in which they were brought up.
He also commended the key role played by secondary schools which provided a solid basis for the success of CPISP, noting that the number of CPISP recipients has reached 126, among whom 71 students graduated and joined the labour market or opted to continue their higher studies.
The Managing Director and CEO of the Kuwait Finance House (KFH), a platinum sponsor of the programme, and member of CPISP Board Abdulhakeem Al-Khayat delivered a statement on behalf of the sponsors in which he extended sincere thanks and gratitude to HRH Crown Prince for his constant keenness to take care of outstanding students, adding that such vision will benefit all Bahraini citizens.
He also urged the graduates to dedicate themselves in the service of their nation, stressing that investment in education has proved successful.
Graduate Tariq Al-Hassan spoke on behalf of the graduates, expressing heartfelt thanks and appreciation to HRH Crown Prince for his constant support for CPISP students and constant desire to meet them, adding that the programme provides a wide range of opportunities for students to study at the most prestigious universities in the world.
He also indicated that CPISP is a perfect example of national unity and an embodiment of the value of meritocracy, lauding HRH Prince Salman’s stances in support of consolidating the principles of merit and social justice sown by HM King Hamad.
